The 31-year-old made history this week as the first New Zealand woman to wrestle at the Olympics.

Entertainment wrestling fans were treated to a night of spectacular homegrown talent over the weekend at Kiwi Rumble, the first professional-level wrestling event of its kind.

They are taking social media by storm presenting their own indigenous culture in an industry that has predominantly involved Samoans.

“I think we've proved to alot of people that we're taking wrestling to the next level here in Aotearoa.." Says Hawke

Tee Hawke is confident for the match-up that lay ahead
