November is Diabetes Action Month, with more than 300,000 people across the motu living with some form of the condition.

An audit of diabetes cases in the northern DHB region including Northland and Auckland has revealed 'elevated' rates of admissions for Māori and Pasifika for amputations.

"Movement is important, it's push and play, we're going to be okay. And change the stats,” says Ruben Wiki.
