The Police Minister Stuart Nash has launched an iwi community justice panel at Hoani Waititi Marae in Auckland in an effort to reduce reoffending and victimisation in Waitematā.
Rather than working on a level of action and reaction, iwi panels look at restorative justice and being the eleventh iwi panel in the country but the first here in Waitematā, it's an initiative that is being welcomed by the community.
