Native Affairs - Kōwhiri 14, Ikaroa-Rāwhiti Part 3

In the Ikaroa-Rāwhiti electorate debate special, Meka Whaitiri from Labour, Te Hamua Nikora from the MANA Movement, Marama Fox from the Māori Party and Henare Kani from the Green Party, present their cases to entice their people to vote for them come Election Day.

Recently, our Native Affairs reporter Jodi Ihaka has traversed Te Ikaroa-Rāwhiti, and has found the pressing issues concerning Kaitī locals in Gisborne.

She asks the candidates how do they plan to prove that they're honest and have integrity.

Also, the first of the Māori Television Reid Research Poll results are revealed.

If the Māori Party held the balance of power, would you prefer they went into partnership with a National-led or Labour-led coalition?

20% went with National, 66% prefer Labour, and 14% Don't know or other.
